Caroline Crowe will be retiring from Crown Preschool after 17 years! We will be holding a celebration to honour her legacy at our preschool. We are extending an invitation to all alumni families and individuals in the community who have been impacted by Caroline's amazing teaching and generosity to join us at Chaldecott Park on Wednesday, June 17th at 5:30pm. The children went on a big adventure for their Southland's Farm field trip. They took the bus to Southlands and walked a few blocks exploring the neighbourhood surrounding the farm. Once at the farm, they were introduced to horses, roosters, hens, sheep and all the little creatures that live at the farm. Amanda, our guide, gave the children a lesson in horticulture and husbandry, and the students were thrilled to learn what hard work it takes to run a farm.

The annual Mother's Tea at Crown Preschool was a huge success! Thanks to the tremendous effort by Ms. Caroline and Ms. Barb the Moms of the 3/4s class were treated to a traditional english tea at the school. A variety of english delectables were served - lemon tarts, scones and cream, butter cookies and strawberries. And, of course, english tea was served in china! The children helped with cutting strawberries, setting the table, filling vases with paper flowers they made and putting their individually decorated teapot place settings at the tables. It was a truly wonderful experience for everyone. A heartfelt thanks to the teachers for creating lasting memories for the Moms and the students.
