At Crown Preschool we provide play-based programs for children two, three and four years of age. Class sizes are kept below the Provincially allowed maximum, to ensure excellent care and support for each child. The Toddlers class includes parent/carer participation and is led by our head teacher, and the Preschool class has two teachers, both fully licenced Early Childhood Educators, and a ratio of around 1:8. Children must turn 2, 3 or 4 by December 31st of the corresponding school year to be eligible to enrol in a program.

We are pleased to now offer an optional "lunch club" program for the preschool class, which runs for one additional hour each day, from 12:15pm - 1:15pm. Children sit with their peers and teachers to eat a packed lunch, and then have another free play period until pick up time. The program is offered for an additional fee, and families provide their child's lunch. It is NOT mandatory to opt in to this program to be able to enrol at Crown Preschool.

Our two qualified teachers offer dynamic programs within a safe, supportive atmosphere. Our teachers take great care in creating flexible programs that address the needs and curiosities of the children as a group and as individuals.

Together the duty parents and teachers provide well-balanced programs that celebrate the value of play. Our exploration centres, singing and story activities, gym, and outdoor playground engage children in a variety of styles of learning through play.
