The children went on a big adventure for their Southland's Farm field trip. They took the bus to Southlands and walked a few blocks exploring the neighbourhood surrounding the farm. Once at the farm, they were introduced to horses, roosters, hens, sheep and all the little creatures that live at the farm. Amanda, our guide, gave the children a lesson in horticulture and husbandry, and the students were thrilled to learn what hard work it takes to run a farm.
